I've listen to the new "grotesque" and can't find a trace of that! Was all a "fake" bussiness strategy?

The media was more focused on purely that aspect of him--meanwhile, it is miniscule

he is one of the more intelligent musicians out there who actually has something between his ears.

i loved his first album but really havent listened to anything since then.

He use to be a music journo, so you wonder how tuned in and concious he is about what he says and does

manson's merely doin what others before him have done: total shock value, rock n'roll, blablabla. he totally bores me now--i still like his earlier stuff but when antichrist superstar dropped it wuz just like, "emptee-vee's latchin on to this? there goes one nail in the coffin..."

Manson was made a Reverend of the Church of Satan by Anton LaVey some years ago. While Manson lives my almost every aspect of Satanism, he doesn't commit to worship or rituals. He's really just into the philosophy of it, like I am. He doesn't sing about Satanism itself, but his music has always been about self expression and doing what you wanna do, which is what Satanism promotes.

He throws around wild imagery and remarks on the surface just to drive conservative people nuts. If you spend a few minutes to actually look into his lyrics and his agenda, you'll see that he's really not a bad person at all, but someone who is hurt and wants change.

Too many conservatives spend more time complaining about shock artists without even looking at the work itself. The way some people respond to his music proves that.

It's like people standing outside of a museum protesting a Maplethorpe exhibit, when 95% of them know practically nothing about him or his work, and didn't even see the show or at least read the artist's statement on the wall. We don't prosecute people in court without carefully reviewing the evidence, why do we damn artists without even looking at their work?
