Kylie Minogue to release new greatest hits compilation/DVD

On Septemer, 22nd, a new Kylie Greatest Hits CD and DVD will be available. They will be called "Kylie Minogue- Greatest Hits 1987-1997". It's kind of weird how they combine her Stock/Aiken/Waterman material with her 94-97 stuff, but interesting nonetheless.

Audio CD (2cds):

Strange. Will you be getting either of these? Is there anything uber-rare on them?

Ugh! Those early singles were dreadful. She kinda got cool around the time of Confide In Me.

If she's got a new album forthcoming, why no 'can't get you out of my head'?

Different record company. Her material from 88-92 is from one label, from 94-98 on another, and 00-present from yet another.

Most were, but I LOVE "Shocked," "Better the Devil You Know" and "What Do I Have to Do."

I will get the DVD for sure for the videos. I'm not sure about the hits, though. I just bought her early albums, and even that is a stretch. confused

The Deconstruction songs should be available separately on DVD. I just forked out for the latest Greatest Hits DVD which has everything up until 1992 (ah, childhood memories). I'd love to have the 1994---> videos but I don't want to pay for the others again.

That looks a lot like another hits set with eighties tracks and some remixes released not to long ago. Is that suppose to be released in America or something? I already have her "Greatest Hits" that came with the 50+ mega mix disc (which was OK) along with a cheap and good verison of "Hits+" (not the American verison but it was just about that cheap and included "Where The Roses Grow" with Nick Cave). I'll get the DVD! I've only seen a handful of those videos. I won't bite for this CD. Don't care for remixes that often.

Well I must say that I think Dannii's latest album is better than 'Fever'. She's been releasing all the wrong singles from 'Neon Nights' IMO and she's never been a big album seller so I can't see much chance of more being released as it's not helping shift the CDs. Kylie is a MUCH better live performer though. The few bits of live singing I've seen from Dannii have been abysmal, wheras Kylie kept it up live for pretty much the entire Fever tour.

Kylie has 3 Live DVDs already from her 1998, 2000 and 2002 tours. All fantastic concerts.

Depends on your opinion I guess, but I'm a HUGE S/A/W fan, and a fan of Hi-NRG in general, they were the ones to bring Hi-NRG into the mainstream, and whilst they were (and still are) snorted at, they were the foundation for modern pop music in the UK and were an 80s Morown.

This is a cheap dirty cash in though, there was the 2nd SAW best of released just last year, and the Deconstruction era Hits+ the year before that.

Hope it doesn't clash with the new album.

Yeah, and british pop has been mostly naff ever since.

Each to their own, tho'.

I tend to agree, but the period 1984-87 (before Kylie LOL!)

S/A/W were just knocking out some fantastic Hi-NRG records, I guess they were the most successful Hi-NRG producers ever.

You could say their downfall was having a huge act like Kylie.

Errr, after checking Kylie news sites, I see this is a POLISH release of last years best of with a couple of extra tracks (i.e. most of the DeCon era singles).
