you would think a guy who had 5 number 1 singles on billboard hot 100 in 1 year would have a site?

There is a pic of him in Vibe Magazine (with an article, too). I think it's the issue from either April or May-I'm not sure. I do know that he looks like a member of The NPG and sports a Prince-like bob. He also mentioned that Prince is his favorite artist of all time, so I guess this explains his name change, look, everything.

As posted by TRICKOLOGY
7 Aurelius background:

A little info on 7 Aurelius that I learned about reading articles
His Real name is Marcus Vest
He won a michael jackson imitation contest when he was little
He is in music because Prince inspired him to be in it.
Some of his favorite acts are The Doors,Prince,Led Zeppelin
He has a clothing line.
He is on the new upcoming Patti labelle record
He is on the new upcoming Britney Spears record
He is on the upcoming Janet record
Jimmy Jam considers him one of the next
He just signed Aurelius Records to Def Jam for Distribution this past may.

He has a movie in the works with Tyrin Turner from Menace 2 Society about his life
He is big into Marcus Aurelius the emperor's philosophy
He believes "7" has a significance for him. He is the 7th Child in a family
His solo album will be the soundtrack to his film
He has a different fashion sense like Prince
He plays guitar,bass.keys,drums
He got his start at Rapalot records as a in house producer
He beat out all contenders for in house job at Murder Inc in a track battle. He flew out to NY when Irv Gotti didnt call him back and made his big break happen by storming in the studio unannounced. Gotti liked his guts and challenged ALL of his producers in the studio against 7 Aurelius at that moment. The challenge was nothing recorded already. Make it now or lose your spot.
He made them on the spot in a studio so Gotti could see if he could take the pressure. 7 killed everyone in the studio that day when they saw what he could do as a musician/producer.
After

Officially Missing You" was written many years ago when 7 was homeless he gave the song to Tamia because she was the perfect voice for it

He worked as a dishwasher and in a guitar shop.
He was in the church band and music classes the star student...

7 Claims he wears the number 7 alot because its supernatural to him.
Everything his success he says can be attributed to that number
Jamie Foxx got him out of Kentucky when he said he had what it takes to be a success in the entertainment industry.
His solo album will have alot of guitars on it
His first artist is a girl named "The Letter M" which will be the first debut on Aurelius Records
His work ethic is well known among his peers
After High School it took him ten 10 years to get the producer heading for those type of artists
He is Known as "King of the Divas" because he worked with Mariah,Janet and Whitney and Patti already. Can you say-destined.
He is 6'3.
7 Left Murder Inc because he saw after 2 years he wasnt getting credited properly.
7 wants to be more than a fad he wants to work with everybody different in music
He wants more to be a star producer than a solo artist
Everytime Aurelius steps out he is wearing something different.
Taking a cue from Prince he has a 7 on his cheek scrawled on it.
7's message for people who are in his spot right now in music industry is never give in because even at the darkest of times he believed he would be there.

2003:7 is setting up his label so Def Jam can get behind his first artist. "The Letter M"
a female vocalist...
Filming a DVD
Planning to shoot his film about his life

That is what is known about 7 Aurelius

That's a lot of good info on that cat!

Before long, we'll see him living in a house shaped like the number "7" much like Prince lived in a purple house. He probably drives 7 different BMW 7-series and will marry 7 times. lol

Heres another article about 7's Birthday Party in Miami

kinda short but it gives you a quote from him again.

from Miami Herald June 2003:

Birthday boy picks big partyers

Hotshot music man in town: Marcus K. Vest Jr. He goes by the name of 7 Aurelius or Seven and produces for Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Ashanti and Eve. Seven is renting a $3.6 million home on Miami Beach's Sunset Island II. This Friday night, he's hosting a blowout at Pearl on South Beach to celebrate his birthday. He turned 31 on Tuesday.

Seven -- who shared the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers' pop music songwriter of the year award with hip-hop star Nelly -- is inviting lots of big names to his SoBe soiree: J. Lo, 32; Mariah Carey, 33 (he worked with her in the Bahamas on her CD Charmbracelet); Janet Jackson, 37; rapper Busta Rhymes, 31; and Stevie Wonder, 53. And he dropped off an invitation to rocker Lenny Kravitz, 39, his Sunset Island neighbor.

Also on the guest list: attorney Wayne Pathman, 43, Seven's landlord. Pathman is leasing his Sunset Island residence to Seven for six months while he tries to sell his other home on Pine Tree Drive. Seven wants to buy here: 'There's a funk and an energy and a rock 'n' roll spirit in this area that I just have to be around.''

Seven, born and raised in Lexington, Ky., got his musical start at church, where his grandpa was a Pentecostal preacher. He adopted the ''7'' because ''seven is the number of God, the universal number of completion.'' During the same ''epiphany,'' he says, he decided to bleach his hair -- sometimes blond, sometimes white. ``I'm not trying to make a fashion statement. It was a vision of a person that I had been in my past life.''

In his current life, the six-foot-two Seven tools around town on a moped.

What does 7 Aurelius play on "There goes my heart"?
The guitar? or synths?

This track is nice. It is a cool outtake. Thanks for the head up

I know he just produced Subtle and did programming on it.
But what does he do on There goes my heart instrument wise?

Why does Mariah always rasp out of her range when she doesnt have to?
It just sounds like rushing air on some of her lead vocals.
Its kind of annoying... after a lil bit.

Did you know 7 aurelius also did a remake of Walk on the wildside with Lou Reed?Thats circulating also.
its some uptempo type beat with some shiftin synth sounds.
and conga percussion with a electric bassline.

P.S. what in the heck song did 7 do for Whitney Houston on her last album. No one ever cleared that up for me.

His track never made the Whitney album
Apparently LA REID wanted to use as many producers on his payroll (artista)
"There goes my heart" was recorded at the same time as SUBTLE. 7 had the same role on this track, not sure which instruments he played though, the song sounds really rough around the edges, yeah that breathy thing she does is a bit testing at times, but I thought it suited the 'chill' vibe of this song

last track I heard him produce was "officially missing you"(which to me is my favourite he has done)
Where else is going to show up? no any more release from him soon? alo apart from the stuff he did with Mariah, jlo
ashanti, ja rule, what other stuff has produced?

Heres a brief list

of productions he has done half or the majority of

Murder Inc-The INC album
Ashanti-Debut
Ja Rule-Pain is Love
Last Temptation
The fast and Furious soundtrack-did a few on this

Then he has
2 songs by Eve "U Me and She" on RuffRiders Vol 2 album and "Irresistable Chick" on Eveolution
1 by Foxy brown-I need a man
1 by Lou Reed- Walk on the Wildside
1 by Tamia
I think he did "Whats Luv" with Ashanti and Fat Joe
Im Real remix -constructed by 7 and Irv
Aint it funny-remix by 7 and Irv
Then the 2 Mariah Carey songs...

Now I dont know about soundtrack contributions.
But I do know most of the Murder Inc stuff circulating in 2001- mid 2002 was most likely handled by 7 Aurelius.

He did alot of loop work where he would just play embellishments on top of loops.

However he could have produced that song by Tamia and Fabulous ...that remix.
Im not sure though

Id guess there are more tracks out there now on some artists albums that were overlooked

the remix of Officially missing you.
This is one of the best remixes ive heard in a long time. Its not some fake swizz beats or neptunes type plastic remix.

If 7 did the guitar on this. That cat can swing on guitar.

I love the bucket drums and how they flipped the tempo

Looks like 7 is about to blow up. When I heard "Officially Missing You" I thought it was the best song I'd heard in along time, and had to know who wrote it it.

Songwriters impress me, and when I learned that 7 had written this song when he was homeless the song took on a whole new meaning for me.

I thought he was one of those silent producers that don't want to be in the spotlight, but looks like he will be seeing a lot of him in the near futture.

I dunno about 7. I have to see what his first project is like. I think disregarding all the Murder INC stuff...
that track "Officially missing you"
I will have to see when he drops his first project what kind of artist he is. I am unsure whether he will as a star producer blow up with his own artists.

His website is annoying. It hasnt been updated ever.

I guess will have to wait for the fall to see what appears

Have you heard the remix to Officially missing you?

Its heat for sure
Changes the tempo adds bucket drums and some nice george bensonesque guitar fills on the lead.
