Old School Hip Hop artists - 1987 and before...

Can someone name me some old school hip hop artists from this time period, you know, like Eric B. and Rakim, Whodini, UTFO, etc...I'm sure there are some I'm missing...any help would be appreciated...

They're from my hometwon. My sister knew them. There were originally 5 member and the letters J.J.F.A.D. was for each name of the members, but 2 left and they changed what the letters stood for

Not too many people in the rap game (old or new school) could fuck with Quick's production. I know he wasn't around in the 80's but just needed to say that. Quick was and is the man!

Rodney O was part of Egyptian Lover's Uncle Jam's Army before 87 and I thought that was he was asking for on this thread (pre 87 rappers) I'm totally down with Joe Cooley but I was focusing on the pre 87 Rodney 0. Arabain Prince was from the same camp. I did like his first solo album "She's Got a Big Posse" but his best stuff was with Egyptian Lover. As far as him being a good rapper, just was with Egytpian Lover, it was all about the beats my friend music
