favorite rock songs...what would you pick?

what songs would you say are some of favorite rock songs.
(any period 50's up to the present)

here's some i'll play until they throw dirt on my ass:

from funkadelic-maggot brain (eddie hazel...where did you
get this shit from. unbelievable guitar)

isley brothers: hope you feel better love
that lady
midnight sky
(ok ernie...i hear ya brotha)
rolling stones: brown sugar..midnight rambler...bitch
beast of burden...start me up (keith go on man)
can't you hear me knockin'
lenny kravitz-let love rule

talkin heads-pulled up

the police: roxanne...message in a bottle...voices inside
my head...man in a suitcase...don't stand so close to me

jimi hendrix: rainy day dream away...the winds cries mary
third stone from the sun...little wing

the beatles: get back...i saw her standing there...why don't
we do it on the road (man...mccartney...what a great vocal)
helter skelter...everybody's got something to hide...
all i gotta do (john at his most soulful)
and DOn't LET me down (john and paul singing like brothers.
together and FUNKY!)

the cars: drive...my best friend's girl
david bowie: sound and vision...let's dance

stevie ray vaughan:cold shot...couldn't stand the weather

frank zappa (anything by frank...is COOL)

jeff beck-freeway jam

ok...these are just some of the few that hit me right now...
what everybody else got?

youngca...rock came from blues ,r & b and country,right?
