Who likes Pharrell?

Considering the fact that P Diddy, Jay Z, and Snoop have featured him in their latest videos he must be doing something right. He's got a unique singing style and has great skills at producing. What do youa ll think of him?

Pharrell has the flavor of the moment, this kid must've sold his soul cause everything he seems to touch is banging! Some of the artist that he's dealt with I despised until he produced some of their tracks.

I think he's extremely talented. Noit a fan of his singing voice. However, I think he's milking it a little bit. Being so prolific and being in the mainstream ALL the time causes the public to grow tired. A lot of the stuff sounds the same now. I think a short break is called for to get some inspiration instead of churning out the formula over and over. Look what happened to Rodney Jerkins.

I kinda agree. I like his voice. And I love N.E.R.D. I just wish he'd stay out of everyone's videos and quit being such a starfucker. That's the reason I got sick of Timbaland too.

He sounds good on a hook, but that's about it. he's new single is nice but i couldn't go on hearing a whole album full of his voice because he has no range in his voice except that little pseudo-falsetto voice he does.

I think he gets alot of hype
The neptunes have not PROGRESSED since KALIDESCOPE by KELIS
7 AURELIUS is a much better producer and doesn't get half the attention he does, although 7 has had more 1 singles since he started last year then the neptunes have ever had

Pharrell is an excellent producer (together with Chad as the Neptunes), but he should watch out for the over-exposure he is getting now. He just pops up everywhere, in every single video with every single (often stupid) rapper. His singing voice is not great, although I like him in 'Provider', 'Bobby James', as a matter of fact, on the whole N.E.R.D. album...'In Search Of...'

Pharrell Williams is not really a singer and I think he knows it so he's just doing his own thing so therefore I pay a lot of props to him on that front...
On the production side, he seems 2 be King Midas of the production world "forreal"!
He's established his own identity along with the Neptunes/N.E.R.D and clipse movements collectively.

I say from one producer to another... all the best to the brother! clapping

he cant sing for shit but he has 'character'. half the neptunes beats all sound the same but for some reason i kinda like this hokey, not-sure-if-this-is-a-tacky-joke-or-not sound theyve got going.

Pharell is cool. Homeboy got skills, and no one can take that away from him, even if he can't sing that well...as he said so himself, 'Ya'll better let me sing', and if he ain't huring nobody...and if the song sounds good like 'Frontin', hey! Keep it going! But if the song sucked, then that would be a different story...but his beats are one of the hottest, (for Hip-hoppers who know)...nod...so two thumbs up for Pharell once again. cool

I dig this guy. He has a style I like. And the Neptunes are a very creative duo, like them or not. I hope to produce like them one day.

He has produced some good tunes, but he's really stretching it with singing. He sounds like a bad Curtis Mayfield impersonator at a karaoke bar. disbelief

As far as singing goes, I'd rather listen 2 Crutis Mayfield. As far his production goes? He's a tie between Timbaland & Prince, he didn't really deliever anything new 2 the table IMHO.

Tim Mosley & Missy & Orginized Noize are the bombshells of Hip-Hop production these days, they come up with the sickest/most twisted sounds that neva cross anyone's mind.

Whats unfair is, when people think of The Neptunes they only think of Pharrell. 50% of the production is done by Chad too what about him, why folks keep 4getting about the man. Its not ALL about Pharrell as far as I'm concern.

Plus he really gets on my nerves the way he's all up on my face on every video,,,enough ass-kissing already!

If nobody likes Prince where do all the people come from at his concerts. Do you think these people fly in from the moon?

Considering some of the things Pharrell has done sounds a lot like of early Prince. I would think that Pharrell is a big fan.
