" my grandma laughed when I told her "Chile, what you doin' walking yo butt asking them about that woman. You is a fool? Nobody know about no Sallie Blaire" But I'm telling you people, if anybody got their hands on one of her records don't sleep on it. She's like a Blusy/Gosple Sarah Vaughan. My grandma looks just like her when she was young(only with a black hair). I think Mariah Carey or Dawn Robinson would play her role very tight

She must've been the Stacy Lattisaw of her time.

It just goes to show you you learn something new every day. Is there any info on her on the web?
In a Chaka related note. I got to Chaka in the Superdome a million years ago with Chic, The Brothers Johnson, Angela Bofil and Ray Goodman and Brown. There's only one Chaka and she still sounds great. You probably know this but she is on a DVD with Fourplay that was done in the studio but set up like a club. Philip Bailey and Phil Perry (hope I got that right) are singing background and it sounds awesome!
