Every single album this band has released has been catchy as hell. Amazing. I just got a copy of their first album and it's taken me a while to listen to it because I thought, "awww, the first one can't be THAT good."

Boy, was I wrong.

Excellent music. Just excellent. The only album I don't have now is Electroshock Therapy Blues - I'ma snatch that one up as soon as I can.

Any other fans of E and the boys?

I like E and the eels though I don't own anything by them. I did listen to him/them alot when I worked in the wrecka stow.

i LOVE the eels!!! shootenanny may be the best so far... i actually have been listening to it like crazy lately.

Funny, I started a thread about eels some two months ago and nobody seemed to care.
eels is one of the best bands around, Mr.E is very likely one of the best lyricists of his time. Anxiety, get 'Electro Shock Blues', it is a masterpiece.

that's funny, both links take you to the same site! There is a lot to read there, and I recall there is a quote from Mr.E which says more or less: 'You can say "the eels", I (Mr.E) say "eels"'

Eels rock, but shootenanny is the weekest album yet.

Yesterday I received my MC Honky cd, 'I Am The Messiah'.
MC Honky is said to be an alter-ego from Mr. E, E himself denies this and says he has helped MC Honky producing this record together with Butch the drummer. When you lisyen to it you hear typical Eels influences. Who is MC Honky?
