Not as much as "Baduizm." The only tracks I listened to were "Bag Lady," "Didn't You Know," and the opening song (the name has slipped my mind).

I bet you don't like it cuz ?uestlove is there too lol wink but on the humble? I dig the message behind it, u know what I mean? It deals with the personal demons and such. I love it when a lady talks in behalf all the ladies. I don't relate 2 corny songs like nigga with 2-inch dick(Quick), scrub, can't pay the bills and blah blah blah they just embarrassing 2 hear lol

As 4 the production? Well, its very basic. You could dig it vey much if you like "LoveSexy" since both have similiar vibe.

I don't know really what happend between "Baduizm" & "Mama's Gun" but it must me very similiar 2 what happend between "The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill" and the "Acoustic Unplugged" cuz both discuss same subjects if you paid attention and both were str8 up raw and basic.

You know what I think I've discovered about you, Harelepolis, I think you're more into lyrics of a song versus the content of the music. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally, a lot of the times, I could care less what someone is signing about, just as long as they can saang and have some tight-ass production behind them. Don't get me wrong, I pay attention to the lyrics of aritsts, but most of them are just talking about the same thing so it gets filtered out quickly. Honestly, I don't think anyone can write lyrics as good as my man Stevie Wonder.

And actually I forgot all about Fatlove being on that album. wink

Thats very true,,,but then again the production carrys 50% of my love 4 the effort. U feel me? 2 be honest, sometimes I have to DIG the production so I could dig the lyrics lol hard to believe but its true.

Thats one of the reasons why I used to be so MADLY in love with Mariah Carey, that sistah could blow a def man's mind but recently I'm starting to lose the intrest on her just becoz she has nothing intresting to say(other than what she say about her struggle being a bi-racial which Its been repeated alot of times).

I dig Stevie Wonder as a writer esp when he talks about politics & spirituality. Actualy [lyrics] are one of the main reasons why I dig Prince,,,he just come up with lines that neva accures 2 you, neva cross yo mind and lol believe it or not sometimes he got crazy rhymes too(I'm sure you know). These MCs walking around like their shit is ill and what not would be floored if they dug deeper into Prince's music. 2pac was one of the 1st who admits that btw wink

I have a fellow Prince friend that totally discounted her talents and quickly rebuked his assertions once he saw her live. She kicks ass live. I haven't seen her live but I've seen live performances and she does rock!

I'd like to see her branch out into more than R&B. She would tear it up something fierce with a rock album.

I love Erykah!

headbang

I used to be one of those fools who used to discount her but then I saw her live...man she blew me away. Saw her on the Mama's Gun tour at the Universal Amphitheatre and then again earlier this year at the "Underground Run" tour, a kick ass performance at the House of Blues..more intimate and more intense. I remember this track from that show. She excites me the way Prince used to.
