I'd rather hear a Neptunes remix of Kumbaya than either of those sappy tunes. Guess the intentions were good but a bit too over-the-top for my tastes.
True, true.

And Oi, I LIKE 'What's Up' by 4 Non Blondes.

But you KNOW he knows he can't sing.lol And he made big bank because of it. The VIDEO cracks me up to no end. . . especially when he gets to the part "I asked her her name, she said 'blah, blah, blah' she had (something, something--I forget the words) and a very big BRA."

Other dumb songs...

***"Float On" by the Floaters (1978)---yeah,I know alot of people love this song and I'm supposed to love it too, considering how much I adore everything 70s...lol...but this song is absurd. It's not much of a song at all, just a minor groove and each guy talking about what type of woman he wants. They all sing the same exact line!

***"I Can Dream About You" by Dan Hartman(1984)---The funny is,I can't really tell you WHY I hate this song...lol...but it just annoys me to no end.

better song than the one mj wrote for diana ross.

"Float On" and "Centipede" were my joints! worship

Now, "Coming to America" (theme song to the movie of the same name) by The System sucked ass.

My name is Larry. To this day, that song still cracks me the hell up. I Can Dream About You probably irritates you cuz he probably heard it and saw the video 12 million times, like I did.

From the 'Earth girls are easy' movie soundtrack - 'Cause I'm a blonde'.

Not sure what else at the moment, but I agree that Aerosmith's 'Janie's got a gun' is classic.

"Sometimes" by Britney Spears

Christopher and I agree that the song sounds like her significant other beats her up! And she can't get out of the relationship and instead keeps running back to him. Look at the chorus:

"sometimes I run
sometimes I hide
sometimes I'm scared of you
but all I really want is to hold you tight
treat you right, be with you day and night
baby all I need is time"

Aqua actually has a much worse song than "Barbie Girl" called "Cartoon Superheroes." It is perhaps the worst song ever recorded. Don't believe me? Download it and cringe.

I'm going to play it nonstop while you're here.
