ERYKAH BADU LIVE AT THE ROCHESTER MUSIC FEST. JUST GOT BACK IN FRON THE ROCHESTER MUSIC FEST WHERE ERYKAH BADU HEADLINED THE 1ST NIGHT. HER BAND WAS INCREDIBLE AND TIGHT AND SHE ALSO PREVIEWED SOME NEW MATERIAL THAT WAS HOT SO I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE CD TO DROP. SHE ALSO WENT OVER CURFEW PERFORMING FOR 2 HRS. BUT NO ONE CARED BECAUSE THE BADIZM WAS IN THE AIR. MUSIQ, FLOETRY, & BLU CANTRELL ALSO PERFORMED. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD KICKOFF FOR THE FEST. IF ANYONE GETS A CHANCE TO CHECK OUT ERYKAH BADU IF SHE COMES TO YOUR TOWN, I DON'T THINK YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!! | |

I have to agree with you concerning Erykah and her band. I saw her live at the 2001 Celebration and I just do not believe there is a tighter "R&B" band out there - they are truly incredible. They creat a very soulful vibe that I didn't think any of the "new school" bands were capable of creating in a live setting. I thought those days were long gone, but Erykah's band proved me wrong.
So I second the recommendation to check them out if you can. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
