Remy Shand has just finished his new CD and it is due in the fall.He's been working on the new album since March and once again,he plays all the instruments and has written and produced all the songs.I love his debut CD 'The Way I Feel' and I can't wait to see what he does next.According to Shand,the new album will be much more uptempo than the ballad-heavy debut."It doesn't have a title yet",he says.

Speaking of 'The Way I Feel'...I noticed that there is an import version of this CD,with two bonus tracks that don't appear on the regular U.S. version.The two bonus songs are "Mai" and "Ripened and Consumed".Has anyone heard these tunes? Can you give me your thoughts?

I have not heard these extras, but love his debut album. I was just on his site last week looking for info on a new album. Be sure to post again when you have a tentative street date.

What a funky brotha! A (then) 19 year old white kid from Canada signed to Motown Records!!!

He's awesome.

I wish I had a tracklist to post,but I think the album is going through the post-production phase right now,so the tracklist may not be finalized yet.But I'm really excited.The first album did reasonably well and Remy got a Grammy nomination,but this time I want him to get better promotion.

Huge, and I mean HUGE, remy fan here. Good to hear it's going to be more uptempo. I enjoyed most of his last album but my favorits were the uptempo stuff like "The Way I Feel" & "Second One". Can't wait until the fall. Remy is one of the last artists (Maxwell, Sade, Saadiq, Prince, Outkast a few others) I actually can get excited over dropping a new album.

I liked his debut album. That is good news. My favorites cuts are "the way i feel", "rocksteady" and "looking back on vanity".

How funny! I've been playing that cd alot recently, mostly in the morning. I LOVE "The Second One" as well as "The Way I Feel," and "Color of the Day." Overall, a really good debut. A coworker thought he was singing "The Sexy One." That used to make me ROTFL. I can't believe another cd so soon. I get kinda leery when artist's second release is less than 2 years after the first one. Like trying to keep the name out there as long as possible, while in the meantime the material isn't as strong. I hope for the best tho, and will definitely keep an ear out for it. Or just check here, cuz I'm sure somebody will make it known.

Also waiting anxiously for anything Remy does...

My favorites on the first album are "The Way I Feel", "Burning Bridges", "Take a Message", and "I Met Your Mercy".

I'm a fan of his debut as well.Nothing sacarrine about his stuff.
