am I the only one who loves ZWAN? I can't get over how good the record is - I love every single song. I don't know why they aren't a much bigger deal than they are - should I blame it on Sharon Osbourne?

Billy Corgan is an idiot.

fair enough, it's basically a Corgan solo record. same difference to me
he's kind of an oddball but honestly I think he's a great songwriter I'm not sure you should listen to your voices.

Yes, I love it too! It's nice to see that he's lightened up again. I love all his records, but this feels like a fresh start. My favorite is probably 'Yeah'. I would love to see him live again.

Ex-Moderator | I really like them as well. I saw them kik-off their US tour at First Ave in Mpls. It was such a fun show.
Jesus I/Mary Star of the Sea was amazing live!! |

I have mixed feelings about Zwan.
The lyrics. I can't explain it. It sounds like Billy Corgan has a better relationship with God these days, but the lyrics are so bland and generic. A few of the songs sound like something off one of those corny Christian albums advertised on TV. On the flip side, people like Stevie Wonder and TTD write wonderful lyrics that express their spirituality, and are unique and personal. I dunno, maybe writing happy "Ive found God" songs isn't his forte. I like the overall tone of the album. Billy Corgan sounds alot happier these days, and energetic. He also looks great. But other than Jesus I, everything kind of sounds alike on this album. There were no real standout tracks for me, and it was missing alot of the experimentation that showed up on Mellon Collie. Maybe they need some time to break in the band.
