VERY UNDERRATED Van Halen SONG!

"Me wise Magic" - the song DL ROth recorded with VH when they briefly reunited in 1996. It's on the Greatest Hits VOl. 1 CD as an extra track. I love this song---it makes me want to do like a headbanging striptease or something. Dave sings in top form on this song. ANyone else like this song?

I love that song, i was hoping that David would rejoin the band and Van Halen would be as good as they used to be.
But i guess Diamond Dave is happier in Vegas.

"In a simple Rhyme"

"Women & Children first" is probably my fave from the Old Halen!

that's their most "Led Zepp-like" record ...in terms of songwritng.

it's true that the roth era of van halen stands as the most satisfying. but that's not to say that hagar didn't contribute some amazing songs as well. but i implore all of you to dig deep and find a song called "crossing over" ... it was only released on the japanese version of the balance album, but i'm sure you can find an mp3 of it. don't listen to it with the frame of "van halen with sammy, not dave so fuck it" ... just lay back and LISTEN. the finest song to come from van halen in forever. you will not be disappointed.

and for those of you who still wish dlr would rejoin the band, i'll leave you with a quote from eddie van halen--

"For Dave to rejoin the band, I'd have to start drinking again, and I don't want to do that."

This song was average at best (even as a re-united special) and DLR is terrible. He should get out of the business before he becomes even more of a laughing stock than he already is.

I'm a VH fan and the early stuff especially but I've downloaded some live footage off of Kazaa. The band is right on but DLR is wandering the stage, forgetting lyrics and just blown out. He even had his hair back then!?!?

Great tune...made me believe again

ME WISE MAGIC

I know what you're feelin'
what you're feeling is easy to see.
I know what you're dreamin'
I have those same dreams.
Woa.. Reachin' for the beat again.
Lookin' for a sign.
It was right here all the time, time, time, time...
I am you and you are me.
Do You believe?
Don't you trust me? Me Wise Magic
Ow! Baby it's all right.
If you could see
Through my eyes, Me Wise Magic
I feel you breathin'
Don't you trust me...(trust me)
I feel you agreein'
I know what you need
(whoa) Don't you lie
Just you listen thru me
My words at best to you
A fortune coo coo cookie
(Who are you and where are we?)
Do You believe?
Don't you trust me? Me Wise Magic
Yeah yeah! Woahohoh!
If you could see
See through my eyes, Me Wise Magic
A little zen headed your way
You'll get it
halfway down the interstate
Four days from now
It all goes clear
A Buddhist riff for your inner ear

2 VH songs in particular just RAGE everytime I put them on (and rewind, and rewind, and rewind):

Romeo Delight
Hang 'Em High

in terms of sheer power and rocking, they just can't be touched headbang
