N.E.W.S? What the hell?

I just heard album
What the hell is going on?
I guess he is an artist who marches to the beat of his drum (which he probably plays)
I wish he could find the balance between introvert art and great accesible pop song like he used too
Well maybe this album isn't targeted at me
oh well
I saw Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on TV recently and they said Prince is long over due a BIG comeack ala Santana

I really think at this point, Prince doesn't give a damn about making a hit album anymore, but who knows? shrug

Ubiquity

Prince currently enjoys a phase of extreme artistic maturity, innovation and spirituality. I think he has never sounded as complete as an artist than in these days (since about TRC).

Okay, it's not your kind of music. No offense, but who gives a f*** if he tries a comeback. He is alive, ejoys making music and hands it out to his fans. If you are fan that should be everything you need. Even his tour is still very enjoyable.

I haven't had the chance to listen to NEWS up to now except some short clips but I liked it. As long as Prince is fine with it, it is okay. He doesn't force us to listen to it.

A very bad example is Mr. Robbie Williams. He is no talent in any department and is riding on a wave of fame like nobody else in Europe right now. The media is celebrating him like he is god and... who cares. This is not the one I want Prince to compete with in any charts.

Prince, MJ, R Kelly should found a superstar union, put every argument aside and kick all of these wannabe suckers.

Pop is dead.

^^^Very good point. clapping , but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions. This album may not be for everyone (despie the fact that you're a die-hard fan). I heard the preview and wasn't really impressed. I personally, like the "funked-out" Prince a lot better than the mellow but, but oh well...

Give him a break, he is just 44. He won't die tomorrow. I think he will get back to Funk. Maybe he'll find new ways to arrange things with records like NEWS.

I think people and especially fans often miss the point in opinions. Prince opinion today is making NEWS and not doing a chart album. We should respect it. No offense, I don't want to dis anybody here, but we just should respect him as an artist and not a chart and pop thing.
