Old School R&B Jam of the Day : "Betcha She Don't Love You" by Evelyn King (1982) Who remembers hearing this killer jam in the summer of '82? It was the second single taken from Evelyn's 'Get Loose' album.The first single "Love Come Down" was a huge hit,and the follow-up kicks ass too.It has a unique midtempo groove,courtesy of producer and songwriter Kashif.Evelyn sings her heart out,making it one of 1982's best R&B jams...

Evelyn is a huge Prince fan.Back in the 80s,she was quoted as saying "If Prince is the Prince,then I am his Princess".She also wanted him to produce an album for her,but she had to settle for Andre Cymone,who produced much of her 'Face 2 Face' album in 1984. | |

Kashif appeared in our university last year and made a lecture about the music biz and what not. He sounded very serious about that!
