These cats are off the hook!! If you dig progrock, pick this release up it's awesome. I know a lot aren't interested in hearing the new school intepretation of this genre, but this is off the chain! It's a hybrid of a lot of styles but prog rock is what they're being labeled as. Rick Rubin had a hand in producing this album which may be the reason for all of the press. Man, I saw this band last Tuesday on their UK tour, it was amazing! I got the album yesterday it is very good, really different to all the other rock stuff at the moment.
Mars Volta's singer and guitarist used to be in At the drive in, and if you don't have their Relationship of Command album, get it: it's mega!
