I just saw her video tonight "I want you" for the first time-I like the song--no brainer, catchy pop with a lil kick from FAT Joe--but I swear she looks exactly like Mariah!! Well ok, not exactly but she had the early 90s curly Mariah hair-do going-I swear I thought I was watching the video for "Emotions." And she was showing her cleavage! Can't believe Tommy allowed that!

I haven't seen the video but i'm looking forward to Thalia's album.

I saw the video twice but barely listened to the song. Anyway, I noticed she is on Virgin. Is Tommy Mottola working there as well? I would figure he is somehow callig the shots when it comes toher career.

which is Tommy Motolla's management team, they use to manage Mariah, but after she dropped them 96 they haven't had a a big client
They use to manage Jessica Simpson before, I think they are in the business of trying to produce the next Mariah

I actually love Thalia.
But I hate how she's being "popcultureized'. She's way beyond looking like a mix of j-lo and mariah standing on a street singing a song that's beneath her with some forgettable rapper.
i like the song, it's catchy, but she's capable of much better.
I hate that she hooked up with motolla, he's gonna pimp her until he comes across the next pretty tanned girl with curly hair.

Though in thalia's video, she's actually dressed like an avergae person, nothing too radical, which is quite refreshing.

I first saw Thalia some years ago and was amused that she looked so much like Mariah and happened to be married to tommy matolla. I think that she does have a good voice but she isn't really using it in these "crossover" songs that she's singing.

She sounds like a replica of everyone else who can't really sing. But I bet she probably might come up with a catchy tune I might really (or maybe not), grow to like...
