I can not find anything new about him
What is he doing? Is coming out with a new record?
Has he quit mainstream music?
or is he living off the money he made off college students buying his posters?

Well the rumous has it he is suffering from a mental breakdown of sorts that started all the way back when he was preparing for the "Embrya"-tour. I think he has quietly admitted to being chronically depressed. So he just tries to take things easie and relax a lot, which he probably needs.

Maybe stretching the facts a bit, but if you listen to his lyrics they're mostly about depression and trying to get up from it, but they always seem like he is failing in it. They're almost gothic in a sense.

I'm ready for a new album though.

I miss Maxwell too. I saw him on the last two tours. The Embrya tour was the best. I saw him in Minneapolis and Michael Bland was playing with him. It was unbelieveable! I would like to hear some new material from him. His album "Now" was good, but could have been better. He has am amazing voice.
