Hard Groove

Ladies and Gents...there's a new jazz man in town by the name of Roy Hargrove and his cd is entitled "The RH Factor-Hard Groove". This cd is absolutely funky and jazzy with special guests Common, Eryka Badu, Q-Tip, D'Angelo, and MeShell Ndegeocello.
If Prince asks which guest would we like 2 present 2 the next celebration, eye would personally request this man. He is very creative, laid back, and fun with his music.
If u're in2 jazz, blues, and funk, than u've got 2 pick up this cd... NO DOUBT!
Hershey hug & kisses, xoxo

Roy Hargrove is not exactly new. he's been recording for 14 years and features on the albums of several of the above and more.

The Verve music site provides plenty of detail - but his own site has not been updated for a while.

Neither site provides a complete discography including his contributions on other artist's albums, despite the fact that his own site promises such information, which is a shame.

Roy performed with Prince at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2001 (see performance review at foot of this article)

he's not new. When I bought the RH cd, the cashier at the store had mad info on him and told me to look up "Mad Lib's Shades of blue" and "Yesterday New Quintet"

Roy has been around for a minute. The new album is really good, though.
