This seems to come up a lot on here and it comes down to two things.

1. Are you a big fan of Jesses guitar playing?
2. Do you like Rock?

If you answer yes to both then cope it. As big a Jesse fan as I am, I just couldn't get into a rock album. The song "Vibe" is cool though.

Harle, have you got the other albums? If so, what are your favourite tracks? That will give us an ideas as to what you might like.

Personally, I think its Jesse's weakest album, but it does have its highlights.

Bare my Naked Soul was Jesse's record to prove/distance himself from Prince. This record is FAR from Prince-styled songs like Crazay, She-I Can't Resist, etc. While it's a drum machine, Jesse cranks the distortion and isn't afraid to explore styles - he covers BB-style Blues, LOTS and LOTS of Hendrix and just pure groove stuff.

There wasn't really a standout track, in my opinion, the whole album was good. It wasn't GREAT, there wasn't a song that JUMPED OUT above all the rest - but, unfortunately, the album tracks like a promo-demo type CD - to showcase his abilities; the songs don't feel like they belong in any type of grouping - that would be the one problem I had with the CD. But certainly worth the purchase if you liked his work on the rockin Time and JJ wreckas.

Buy 2
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.
