All I know is that he was a hell of a sax player!!! I loved the work he did with Miles and some of his other work with Joe zawnial, his brothers are pretty talented also.

I have been diggin' his stuff the last 2 years or so. I've got these LPs:

Somethin' Else
Portrait of Cannonball
The Cannonball Adderley Quintet in S.F.
Nancy Wilson & Cannonball Adderley

Any more suggestions??? hmm

I'm more of a fan of his late 60s material. My preferences are Mercy, Mercy, Mercy and The Country Preacher LPs. Those LPs are provide the best examples of "live experience" in a jazz club.

Well if you haven't heard Kinda Blue his playing on there is incredible, even though coltrane tends to outshine him a lot, but he keeps up. He also has a cd out called Radio Nights, it's a compilation of recordings he did that were broadcast live, there is an awesome version of the work song on here.
