Great CD that hopefully the label trys to push, but if they dont, as MYA would say..."Whatever Bitch"!


But in the end sales dont matter, it only matters to the label heads and the accountants, MYA easily has her best CD and easily the Best of the RB Females coming out.

The skanky clothes were the only GOOD thing about that pitiful song. Her voice is weak. I'm not putting it next to Pink or C. Aguilera or any other singer for comparison, I'm saying, on it's OWN, she sounds like a girl singing in the car on the way to work... there's just no passion, no power, no ANYTHING behind her vocals.

So again, I say, if it weren't for the skanky outfits, that girl would be NOWHERE.

Talentless is the word that comes to mind.

But you're right, I haven't heard her new CD. I'll check it out.

Yeah- I agree - the whole lipsynching thing is sad... but, hey, then again, the fact that C Aguilera captured the vocals on "Beautiful" at ALL is amazing. Honestly - I love that song. Ain't a huge fan of much else from her, but that song just blows me away.

So, sure, they all are lame-o for lip-synching, EXCEPT THAT, when you watch Janet or Britney, they're all about the performance, the song and DANCE. So, if they're faking the vocals so that they can go 110% for two hours, okay, I'll take that over watching them just stand there for two hours.

Not that I'd GO to a Britney concert, right? Well. If the tix were free. Sure, I'd go.

Anyhow.

I'll go check out the Mya you speak of. My only exposure to her was the Lady Marmalade vid and that new one. The skin wasn't a disappointment, but really, her voice -- it's just lifeless, regardless WHO pulled her into their songs.

But that's an opinion garnered from two songs.

Mya IS a cutie...and compared to her contemporaries, a classy one. She's a trained dancer, that's her thing. She doesn't have a strong voice, but keep her within her element as far as arrangements go and she's solid. I think her sultry delivery/look does it for me. I don't own any of her cd's but I don't hate her. She easily holds her own with J-Lo vocal-wise

I heard part of Mya's interview on Power 105 (in NYC) yesterday (or Wednesday) and I was pretty impressed. She was talking about relationships and she had such a mature point of view.

She likes men who are confident but not cocky. They don't have to have money because "I got you" she said. She realizes that there's "my world, his world, and then our world together." (You know how people just cut off friends to invest fulltime in their signicant others? Well, that's what she was getting at.)

The DJ's were just loving her.

I've got a hundred dollars... make that a thousand that says you wouldn't "love" her if she looked like Rosie O'Donnell. You probably wouldn't even notice her ever changing looks. I ain't hatin' though. The girl is fine.

Mya Is so Tight! especially her new song and video, she has been given props but i still think she is very underrated compared to ashanti and beyonce who we can never stop hearing about no matter how much we want to

MYA is the shit People forget that Sisqo discovered her and brought her out

Also check out MYA on MTVS BASH on JULY 13th on MTV obviously. Its a show for Carson Daily and she gives him a LAP DANCE, yes thats right while she performs "WO". Hopefully they wont edit this out of the Show, I have heard things have been cut out though of certain performances.
