Alexander O'Neal

I went out and saw Alexander O'Neal's Hearsay. I bought it 2 bring back a few memories, good and bad. Im really enjoying it again. I guess U could put him in the same veign as Luther Vandross. Yet I think Alexander O'Neal is Sooo much better. Any other Alexander O'Neal :luv:ers out there?..

p.s. Im listening 2 The Lovers right now!

That was one of my favorite songs in high school and college. My high school boyfriend used to call me Criticize after one of Alexander O'Neal's song. At the time I was too young to know that I couldn't remake a person.

Alexander is one of those rare cats that can deliver a great dance track and then a killer slow jam on the same record. I don't know about him being better voice wise than Luther but I would rather buy an Alex record or go see him live if given the choice between the two. Alexander O'neal is one of the most underrated soul men of our time.

You need to see him live nod

He did a small gig in Harlem at some jazz joint and he tore the place down. Very funny too!

I have. Plus I have the tape (needs to be put out on dvd) of his London show in the early 90's. Alex is a fantastic live performer.

I love Alex Baby, too, but there is no way in hell he is a better singer than Luther Vandross.

Alex's cool and everything, and I would put him in the same arena as Luther, but I don't think he's *vocally* better, IMHO.
