Former Digable Planets frontman goes funk.

Good little article from the Los Angeles Times about how the former lead voice of Digable Planets has started a funk/hip hop group called Cherrywine. The interview mentions Prince a bit, and the album is pretty amazing. More off the hook art-rap with live music. Imagine Prince if he was still vital. lol.

I read this. I'm sick of critics saying that albums by newjacks are the albums "Prince should've made". Nothing against Cherrywine, I'll bet they're awesome, but they have a ways to go before they'll have as impressive a catalog as Prince. Period.
