Luscious Jackson are one of the greatest ever and went overlooked. I remember bumpin them like crazy in high school. In Search of Manny was kickass, Natural Ingredients was even better. Electric Honey and the other one were great too! Great, Great Band.
Did you ever get the Kostars album when it came out? It was (i think) Jill Cuniff and Vivian doing an all acoustic thing. It is fantastic if you can find it. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

Beloved is my favorite song by them.
Saw you by the avenue selling ends and means full of incidents and schemes when you lied and when you lagged you were such a drag but I loved you like a friend Beloved Make it feel like summer make it feel like summertime Beloved I'm coming undone sonny in the danger of the ride I liked to lie out in the wind calling love and sin sympathetic pharmacies I tried to make it right coming straight from Hell preacher without a prayer for myself

It is a really good acoustic album. If you like Luscious Jackson, you will like Kostars too. It is really hard to find so if you cant find it online anywhere, send me an orgnote and I will burn a copy for you. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

I kinda like them. Ive only got Electic Honey though.
What made me like them was Naked Eye I think that song is well cool. Wearing nothing is devine, naked is a state of mind I take things off to clear my head to say the things I haven't said I live inside the elements the the earth and sky are my best friends Water is the evidence that washes me from end to end With my naked eye I saw the falling rain Coming down on me With my naked eye I saw If I said it all I could see I 2 agree with jn2, Jill is cute and even more so than Gabrielle.

Man, I was in love with Gabby when I was in high school. I think I still have the water bottle she gave me when I saw them at the Trocadero in Philly in 94. She actually drank out of it! It's funny the things you hold on to as a kid. Just a little adolescant boy swooning over the hot Gabby Glacier. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"
