I'm more of a fan of his late 60s material. My preferences are Mercy, Mercy, Mercy and The Country Preacher LPs. Those LPs are provide the best examples of "live experience" in a jazz club. | |

Well if you haven't heard Kinda Blue his playing on there is incredible, even though coltrane tends to outshine him a lot, but he keeps up. He also has a cd out called Radio Nights, it's a compilation of recordings he did that were broadcast live, there is an awesome version of the work song on here. | |
