Hey Old Schoolers! "Yo' Mama!"

Maybe not so old-school, but I'm looking for information
on a novelty track released c. 1985 called "Yo' Mama."
It was a tribute to the dozens (which the kids I knew
called cappin') -- if you don't know, that's a game
involving trading one-line insults, commonly about the
other person's mother (your mama's so fat she's got her
own Zip code). For a while, "yo' mama" was a popular
shorthand retort/good-natured insult. The song itself
was mostly a list of people the singers wanted to say
"yo' mama" to. Does anyone know who recorded it and if
it's available now at all? Was it played elsewhere, or
was it just a regional thing (I'm in Cincinnati, OH)?

Thanks!

I remember this song! It's actually from 1983.For years,I always assumed it was the Gap Band because it sounds so much like them. The chorus goes...

"Your mama! That's right,I said your mama!"

Here in the Bay Area (Calif),the song got some attention on R&B radio, but I can't recall who sings it.

And,as you know,Shep later became Madonna's producer. He produced her 1990 hit "Vogue" and much of her 1992 album 'Erotica'.
