I heard a 30 second sample. I've NEVER heard this song before although almost everything else from "Cool, Hot, and Vicious" rings a bell. The beat reminds me of the Boogie Boys "A Fly Girl" (same beat as Sly Fox's "Let's Go All the Way?" Oh, now I'm just getting confused! I'm getting too old for hip-hop! smile)

I'm throwing in the towel on this one, Finess!

i can't place the remix in my head right now.
i know on the original they sampled good ole james brown.
i think the sample on the original is called "hipsters avenue" or something like that.

i'll have to dig out my manifest remix when i get home tonight.

good thread.

Me too! But, if there's a cure for this, I don't want it! (Name that sample! j/k!)

You know what else is interesting? How, melodies are sampled. I mean, how the melody from a song will be used but not the words. Think: Ghost Face Killah's Cherchez La Ghost and how it sampled the melody from Dr. Buzzard's "Cherchez La Femme." Also, think Pras/Mya's "Ghetto Superstar and how it sampled the melody from Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger's "Islands in the Stream." smile

If you're grading on a curve I still fail! I don't remember this song. I'd have to hear it, but can't find a download.
This sounds like a job for djdredd!
