In no particular order, when I think of funky production/MCs, I think of these cats:

Eric B. & Rakim
Dr. Dre
Jinx (he had some funky beats backinaday)
Erick Sermon (for his Redman LPs and the 1st solo joint)
Jay-Dee/Slum Village
DJ Premier
The Bomb Squad
Hi-Tek
Scott La Rock!
DJ Red Alert
Brand Nubian (they used to lace their tracks with a lot of soul records)
Outkast (for pure funk)
Sam Sever (u remember this cat then you are a real hip-hop head)
The Ummah
Black Moon/Boot Camp Clique
Snoop
Early Ice Cube
Early NWA

So true. He worked wonders on Snoop's new CD!!! I would also have to say Just Blaze, Timbaland, The Neptunes (of course), Jermaine Dupri, Organized Noize, Earthtone III, and my favorite westcoast producer, Battlecat.

Y'all forgot about the Group Home album, where he put out some of his best beats over for two of the worst emcees ever.
