The NEW Duran Duran CD will hit Early in 2004, the rest of this year the BAND will tour JAPANand the USA. Also EMI has released a 13CD single Box SET and also will RE-issue all of their CD's Remastered with Bonus Tracks throughout the year. Duran Duran will also release their FIRST DVD, believe it or not, DD doesnt have a DVD yet, and they are the greatest visual band of the VIDEO generation. Duran will also open a seperate section on their website to connect with fans and get them the NEW stuff first, and show behind the scenes inthe studio recording the new CD. Duran will be playing many new tracks on their tour and possibly may have a VH1 concert special of one of their shows, but look for a major marketing campaign on DURAN DURAN throughout this year when they start to tour the USA and all through next year asthe NEW CD hits the world.

I for one hope Prince never bothers to remaster his old stuff. It's a waste of time and energy he could spend on yet another crack at greatness.

The old albums sound just fine on cd to me - here's looking to the future, not the past.

I suppose if I'd listened to any of his old records in the last 5 years, I might share your opinion. I've just played them out and personally I'm not interested anymore. but you could be very well right.

Like I said, I just wish he'd devote the time to making NEW great music instead. I know he'll do it sometime, maybe.

VH1 will be running a five part series on 'The 100 Greatest Songs From The Past 25 Years', including DD's "Hungry Like The Wolf" at #80. John will show up throughout the series as he was interviewed by VH1 in April commenting on various songs on the list. It is due to air June 16th through the 20th at 10PM/9 Central every night.



€Writing and recording:Since deciding to get back together, the band have spent time writing in both the South of France and London, where they have recently built a small demo space from which to work. By the fall, time will have been scheduled for recording in either the UK or US with one of a short-list of producers that they are currently meeting with.

Talking about the new album in a recent interview for Blender magazine, Rhodes said "It's us five in a studio. The magic's there, and we're eager to do it all again. Like lemmings who've jumped off the cliff and climbed back up for another go."
