Joshy man, u got mixed tastes: very commercial!

Savage Garden, Noiseworks, Darren Hayes - puhleaze!

I can tolerate Icehouse 4 the nostalgia value but that's about it.

What about The Cruel Sea? Archie Roach? Chisel?

I'll vote for Swoop and Diesel coz my best mate Rob Woolf plays/played w/ 'em.

4 nostalgia value, does any1 remember v Spy v Spy?

Hunters & Collectors!!!

Hoodoos!

DiG were cool, too.

OK, I haven't lived in OZ 4 a while, so my choices r a little outta date. Sorry.

Chisel isnt Austrailian... are they? Maybe I am thinking of a different Chisel. Chisel broke up a few years ago and the lead singer Ted Leo went on to form Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. I'm pretty sure he isnt Austrailian.

Oh well... why no mention of Midnight Oil?

i'm talking about Aussie-band "Cold Chisel", legends from the early 80s. THe lead singer Jimmie Barnes went on 2 a crap but hugely successful solo career. He had 1 US hit with "Working Class Man" which was the theme-song 2 an eighties Michael Keaton movie directed by Ron Howard.

i dont listen 2 Noiseworks or SG cuz they r commercial.

u listen 2 the Noiseworks albums...its not just Take me Back & Touch (which r classics in their own right)

but Diesel is something we cna agree on...
i saw him open 4 INXS in march & he was awesome!
deserves more credit than he gets.

i'm not Aussie but i love Powderfinger and The Waifs.

i saw Powderfinger a couple of years ago and they rocked my world when they had a giant screen in the background and when they launched into My Kind Of Scene, a shot of Sydney harbour came into view.
i got goosebumps. even i wanted to be Aussie for a minute.

INXS was my first concert. They have a lot of good stuff but I've never bought a CD (and they seem to be putting out a hits collection ever year or so).

I like both Kylie and Dannii. Dannii makes some hot stuff yet gets no attnetion here. Has Dannii ever had a hit here (in America). I love her verison of "Baby Love" but I guess someone else did it first and that was the hit over here.

Yes! My mate Rob Woolf (Diesel, Swoop etc.) co-wrrote this. He says that it was written as a joke, meant 2 b a Prince rip-off. he claims they wrote it in something like 15 min.

Yes! headbang Beasts of Bourbon and Nick Cave (I guess I forgot him coz he's not really Ozzie any more, is he?)

INXS r recording & writing 4 their new album.
should b out late this year.

they r touring & working very hard right now.

they had a anthology 2cd set for the States & we got one last year.
another also was released.

i have heard 2 new songs & this new album is going 2 put INXS back on top.
another song,"i get up",is apparently funk rock @ its best!

havent heard it myself, hopefully i will hear a bootleg soon of that cut.

yeah that is justa bout the only good song on that album.

& when they do that song live & in the video they r doing their best try-hard Mj dance moves. (they r talented tho)

every other track sounds the same.
listened 2 it once & U Talkin 2 me is the only keeper.

I agree Vinny. Yes "Baby Love" was recorded by a singer called Regina. A lot of people thought is was Madonna. (it was produced by Stephen Bray) If you don't have Dannii's "NEON NIGHTS" cd. Get it!! I know "Jump to the Beat" and "Success" were released as singles her, but virtually did nothing on the charts. Some club rotations I believe was it though.
