Crazy In Love Naughty Girl Should be a single BabyBoy Hiip Hop Star Diana Ross, anyone? Be With You (Yep, remake of Bootsy') Me, Myself & I Yes Signs Speechless (I like this one!) That's How You Like It] The Closer I Get To You (with Luther) Dangerously In Love 2 Interlude very sweet Gift From Virgo Jazzy Bey? Work It Out Bonnie & Clyde 3 go over to FreeMyHeart.com for her most Princey track called "I Can't Take No More". I figure because of the arrangements and the sound, it'll get compared to Prince. It actually reminds me of Cherokee a lil' bit musically. Think: Bey does "She's Always In My Hair". Its by far the FUNKIEST one and worth the download. Enjoy the songs. Peace. p.s. - The songs are in .wma format, so if you don't already have it, you need Windoze moodia player This is a SEXY CD. I think its what she needs to go the direction she's being bred for. Its a long way from Destiny's Child's material, that's for sure. This is NOT a DC CD. [This message was edited Thu Jun 19 14:08:02 PDT 2003 by BlaqueKnight]

Cuz if we're then "Signs" is just the very best prime examble of a Princely influenced joint(the harmonies, the sexy/dark/edgy vibe, the lyrics, the rhythem arrangments and the whole nine ) Plsu, Missy is doing her damn thang in that joint so u know that homegirl got some Princely "blood" in her, u feel me? BTW,,,thanx baby [This message was edited Thu Jun 19 14:20:56 PDT 2003 by Harlepolis]

I'm not loving this CD. It's a'ight, it'll probably get played a few times then put on the shelf. But it is crazy sexy. I could have done w/o the interlude though. For some reason I HATE her speaking voice. [This message was edited Thu Jun 19 14:30:09 PDT 2003 by Universaluv]

I was actually talking about "I Can't Take No More". "Signs" reminds me more of Denice Williams meets The Emotions.

I knew u were talking about CTNM. Hmmm,,actualy you're not the only one who thinks that "Signs" is not a tribute 2 Prince. But I think I'm the only one who could see the connection.

I skipped through it a couple of days ago, it's obviously had some money ploughed into it because it sounds more organ than most pop albums today - Seems like the powers that be regard her as the next female solo star.
However, apart from a few tracks it seemed like the usual R&B/pop affair, only with a little more polish and a little more cat-a-whaling. There was one track that had a guitar that reminded me of Prince ballads like Pink Cashmere and Eye Hate U. Bring on the Maurice Joshua mixes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm a sucker for a major chord

Doesn't 'Naughty Grils' sound somewhat familiar? "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

I love to love u baby I love the Arabic Rythem too. She also sampled Bootsy Collins' song and Brothers Johnsons' "Strawberry Letters 23" in "Be With U".

The album started off nicely but by now we're definitely going in 'girls only'-territory. I mean, i don't think any guy can get through that Signs song without cringing. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."
