Marrk said: Billie Jean is a strong candidate for the greatest song of all time, and i'm not fucking joking either.I must have listened to it 1000's of times, and never turned it off halfway, or got bored.Michael's lead vocals were done first take too, It still gets a great reception when played in clubs, and look at all the unofficial remixes of it, there's loads. That song is loved!
I skip Rock with You and go straight to Workin'. its a great song, no doubt.. I was moonwalking right along with the rest of y'all, lol. But Rock With You might be MJ's best groove song... "out on the floor...there ain't nobody there but us..." just makes u wanna.. well, if you don't feel it you just might not be able to! it alll depends on the vibe of the moment ********************************************

It's definitely one of the best songs of the 80s. Let's be honest,guys...how many of you used to play this song when no one was around, and try to do the same moves that MJ did? did you put on a white glove and try to do the moonwalk? Be honest! Ha! Don't get the song confused with the video. It holds its own in video land but the song weak vocally. ---------------------------------

Someone still has the 12" of Billie Jean?, it's just...phew...it has an even rawer sound to it and an extended, hounting ending. I prefer the 'old' versions over the song with the 'drier' drums over the remasterd ones, especially the one on the HIStory album i didn't like.
One of the things that makes this thé ultimate MJ song is the live performance of it, i mean the dance break part with the one spot, gives me shivers Every Single Time, it defines the rythm, the dance, the music MJ stands for. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

Yeah,I remember the 12" version to "Billie Jean",it was incredible! I wish they had put it as a bonus track on the recent 'Thriller' re-master.Any idea where I can find it?

It's on here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/e...18-3463659
I have this on CD, but I can barely tell the difference between most of them and the album versions. [This message was edited Sun Jun 22 8:18:10 PDT 2003 by Ellie]

I've just ripped it onto an mp3 if you want it. Just extra adlibs at the end. It's the most noticeably different one on the whole CD.
