Barenaked Ladies

i only have Stunt & Rock Spectacle, plus the live Barenaked In America dvd...

they r one of my fave bands.

'Straw Hat & Old Dirty Hank' is my favourite song...
hits me so deep.

& Steven Page's voice is unbeeeleeevabull!

what is so cool is that they r such great musicians...
yet they improvise & goof around on stage & just go OFF!
i would love 2 c a show live in person.

i havent bought their last album 'Maroon' yet,& its hard 2 find their earlier stuff down here...

anyone else in2 BNL?

top5 BNL songs:

Straw Hat...
Break Your Heart
If I Had $1million
In The Car
Brian Wilson

The "ladies" are cool. I grew up around the corner from two members of the group and my husband went to high school with two of them. Their music is indeed different, but it's a lot of fun too.

I'm happy they are making it in the biz. They are not getting by on looks and they are quite geeky looking too, but I really like their fun approach to music.

The only CD I have by BNL is Gordon and I love the whole CD. The only song I don't really care for on that cd is The King of Bedside Manor. They are a great band to listen to on a hot Minnesota summer day with an ice cold glass of lemonade.

My favorites are:
Brian Wilson
Blame it on me
If I had $1m

guitar
'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'

Gordon is one of the best debut albums ever IMO. Not one bad track. I adore it.

Gordon and Stunt are fantastic. I'm not familiar with their other albums.

FINALLY. I was quite disappointed with 'Maroon', but 3 years for a follow-up? They never used to have gaps that long.

Old apartment evokes alot of emotion and sadness
their cover of Lovers in a Dangerous Time (bruce cockburn) is majestic!
I agree, Gordon is magnificent

i dont care much for the latest fwe radio singles, but they've stuck it out artistically for a while and they deserve the success
