Ok, I went to the Xtina and Justin T concert last night and it was very entertaining, I went to see Xtina and stayed to see Justin. Let me first state that Justin is talented and good at what he does, but...it was fucking Elvis all over again! I don't know what annoyed me more: the white girls trying to dance "black" like they were "down" or the white boy (Justin) on stage beat boxing like it was something new. I mean beat boxing has been around for years and yet I saw a (white) reporter asking him on t.v. "What do you call that?" He obviously didn't give a shit when black people were doing it and when Justin was answering the question, he never said that it was something old. If a black guy came out with the same album with the same songs and sung it just as well he would not be as successful. That pisses me off. I would like to see a black guy or girl just as succesful. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Jon B. and Thicke, but I would like to see these white cats acknowledge that they didn't start r&b and I would like to see these white consumers buy music by black artists as well instead of these white chocolate artists...why am I pissed?

p.s. Why the fuck do people leave a concert before the encore? what is that all about? stupidity?

I understand what you are trying to say. Do not pay any attention to people on this board who live in some fantasy world were racism does not exist.

We are living in a time were the masses think they why you resolve issues is to pretend they are not happening.

Look at the Iraq war as an example.

The problem with artist like Justin has to do with young African-Americans having no interest in RnB music. All black music today is rap and singers. There are know black bands creating new music with the exception of The Roots.

If black people want to focus on RAP and not creating new music people like Justin and Christian are going to come along and perform RnB. They are going to be successful because they are young and white.

Just notice the success that Luther Vandross is now having on the Pop charts. Luther has been around for over twenty years and he just being discovered by white America.

He should have had pop hits twenty years ago but no one marketed his music to pop audiences. Now he is having a hugh hit CD because of Clive Davis and a stroke.

It certainly did not take Justin or Christian 20 years to have mass appeal singing RnB music.

It is sad but, we only have ourselves to blame.

We are living in a time were the masses think they why you resolve issues is to pretend they are not happening. true as well

Look at the Iraq war as an example. nod

The problem with artist like Justin has to do with young African-Americans having no interest in RnB music. All black music today is rap and singers. There are know black bands creating new music with the exception of The Roots.there are PLENTY!! Just as much if not more than white artists. They just aren't given the exposure. And in the United States, things always sell better with a "white face". Even poor excuses for R&B. Thanks to MTV,radio,VH1, MEDIA IN GENERAL

If black people want to focus on RAP and not creating new music people like Justin and Christian are going to come along and perform RnB. They are POOR excuses for R&B. Christina can sing, and could make for a great R&b artist. Justin is a fucking JOKE! r&b?? :PUKE: They are going to be successful because they are young and white. No truer words have been spoken

He should have had pop hits twenty years ago but no one marketed his music to pop audiences. Now he is having a hugh hit CD because of Clive Davis and a stroke. That was funny. True..but funny!!

It certainly did not take Justin or Christian 20 years to have mass appeal singing RnB music. Nor did it take talent for Justin's part!

It is sad but, we only have ourselves to blame. ABSO-FUCKIN'-LUTELY!

Yes, there are groups out there but, they are not on major labels or getting exposure on the radio. The public is not getting a chance to hear decent RnB music.

Everything you say is true but, the record labels have not spared a dime promoting these two. It is shameful.

Now..about our LATINO artists

What is the problem with LATINO artist? Is it the same thing with RnB music.
