Mariah has announced dates for her summer tour
You will notice that there is a few days in between shows
this is because there will be more show announced in those cities

The previous show weren't cancelled due to lack of sales, she wants a smaller "Cabaret" style gig and will do multi shows instead of one big one
Carey promise a more theatrical performance than she's done in the past saying the show "doesn't take itself so seriously.""I wanted this to be about the music, not a Broadway type show.

I know that my favorite kind of show is like going to see Prince in a small club. I want these shows to be like that, very spontaneous

"I am passionate about doing something more intimate for my fans," Carey said in a statement. "I'm used to doing arena tours and for me this is a whole new experience. This is about my music and my fans."

"She'll have the same band, minus the bells and whistles," Carey's agent John Marx told Billboard in May. "She's going to bring it back to what Mariah's all about: the music."

Carey will visit a handful of arenas, seating for which will be modified to approximate a large theater setting. Some outdoor venues are also on tap, including Red Rocks outside Denver and the C.W. Mitchell Pavilion outside Houston.

I love Mariah but let's be real here.She cancelled many of the other dates because they were at large arenas and the tickets were not selling out.In my area,she was originally scheduled to play at the large San Jose Arena,but I see that she is now playing at the smaller Oakland Paramount Theatre instead.


Nothing wrong with this,of course.I like the idea of seeing an artist in a smaller,intimate setting anyway.

I think the shows were scaled back to theatres due to sales
Justin and Christina together are having trouble filling their shows they have sold only 55% of seats and sre now scalling back (they are currently playing theaters?)
