Madonna's next project: Children's books (you can pre-order it from Amazon)

Wow,it looks like Maddy was serious about this smile

Madonna is currently writing children's books. The first book is titled "The English Roses" and it is available for pre-order at Amazon.com.Here are some details...

List price: $19.95
Reading level: Ages 4-8
Edition: Hardcover (48 pages)
Publisher: Viking Children's Books (September 2003)
Amazon.com Sales rank: 8,905

I honestly don't know what to think...lol...but hey,at least Madonna is ambitious and wants to branch out and try something new.I'll probably buy this book for my nephew.

I don't have any children but $20 seems pricey for a children's book.

Oops,I just noticed that $20 is the "list price".The book is actually on-sale for only $13.97 (you save $5.98).

Fair play to her for trying something different.

And I still think American Life (the album) is better than people are giving her credit for. I much prefer it to Music.

To me,'American Life' is much, much better than 'Music'.It's a more consistent, cohesive collection of songs.'Music' was made up of a bunch of unrelated songs and there was no real theme or concept to the album. This time around, there is a real emotional center, and a strong, spiritual message to it all.But albums like these do not always resonate with the public (Prince's 'Lovesexy' album, for example).

Oh well. Stuff the public. The crap that they put at the top of the charts these days leaves me cold and disillusioned.

Here's to American Life - yay!

Do you guys ever take out the "Sex" book and read it? For old time's sake? In 2001,when I was all excited about the Drowned World Tour,I was reading that book everyday...lol...but most of the time,it stays well-hidden in my closet.Great book, but not very easy to explain to friends who already think Madonna is insane...lol...

I love the sex book! In fact EROTICA is my 2nd favorite "Era" of madonna's..."Like a virgin" being the first. I think Madonna looks incredible and I love the "Dita" cartoon in the back. That's my favorite. ANother favorite picture is the one of her on the beach with the long blond pontytail hairpiece...she looks fabu!

I agree with you.I mean, the biggest selling artist right now is 50 Cent---a foul-mouthed rapper who can't really rap,so he uses his past tragedies (i.e.getting shot nine times) as his main "marketing strategy"...lol...that says alot about the state of pop music today, doesn't it?

Sure does! It seems like we live in a world where it's fine for our pop stars to be misogynist homophobes who condone violence and gang warfare. What's worse are the (mostly) dullards that support these artists and fail to see the irony in a lot of the work and actually believe that this is a cool way to live their lives. Sorry times! sad
