Why r so many of us also Radiohead fans? It seems that there's a lot of us, and I'm not all that surprised with the "They're not funky" backlash, because it does seem an unlikely combination. I wonder at the fact that they're my two fave artists myself.
any1 got any ideas why it is? (go on Supa, tell us  )"We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

They have their own vision, they don't compromise for their art, his voice can make you go unnnggghhh, they've got a really great guitarist, their a GREAT live band, they make really good videos when they want. They don't get played on heavy rotation on the radio so we have to go and buy their albums...anybody else want to try? | |

To be honest, I got into them around the time Vanilla Sky came out.. I bought everything they've put out including singles/bootlegs ect..

Yeah - but why Radiohead and Prince? Not a wierd combination?
Is it because P fans tend to be intelligeent music appreciators? That doesn't seem a good enuff answer. On the top 5 bands thread a while back, I think Radiohead got the most mentions. Now I think they deserve it, but it is a bit surpriusing on a P site, isn't it? "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

Because we have good taste. Because both Prince and Radiohead make good music. But everytime I mentionmy love for Prince in the Radiohead-Forum, nobody understands. strange. I´m going to see Radiohead live next sunday. Can´t wait for it! See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star... | |

Well obviously Prince fans are not concerned with mainstream status. I mean, Radiohead are mainstream, but not like Justin Timberlake or anything. Every Prince fan I know loves Radiohead. True, I only personally know about four...but still. It must just be that Prince fans care about quality of music and musicianship. Not too mention most Prince fans are fuckin' cool as shit! | |

Good answers, but let me ask this: If so many P fans, r also in2 Radiohead, r there also a loit of Radiohead fans who appreciate P?
