Rudy

I bought the new one a few days ago, but haven't yet found the right time to listen and enjoy

I heard it was mostly done live in the studio and that scared me a little...but hell, they're Steely and I love them no matter what. It's not like they're going to go Rainbow Children on me or anything like that! lol

Green Book - can it possibly be as good as 'Almost Gothic'? smile

"Green Book" is my 3rd favorite on EMG.

I like the reference to Jill St. John & "double dreaming a page at a time"..

what stands out the most on this track to me is Donald's Rhodes playing..
it creates (for me) a "dark", almost "hypnotic" feel to the song..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

This album gets better with each listen, and yes, Green Book is one of the best cuts. Even the song that Walter Becker sings lead on is quite good, particularly lyrically. The weakest song on there, imo, is the title track. Everything else is first rate after a few listens. My favorites are the first four tracks, Green Book, and Pixeleen.
