The Yeah Yeah Yeahs - the new Pat Benatar

has anyone seen this band? the 80s revival is on full steam ahead!

i have a song of theirs on some punk cd that came with a copy of mojo i bought a while back. the song's so-so.

i just saw them on Jools Holland i was quite surprised. i'm into all the new american rawk retro stuff that's happening right now in the UK but this band actually had some sensitivity instead of just rocking out into oblivion. i'll check them out first before i buy.

I bought their new CD, its pretty good! There's a song towards the end called "Maps" where she kind of mellows out from the craziness and does a great love song, ala The Pretenders.

There's something more goin on with this band than just mimicking a retro sound. Worth checking out.
