Jeffrey Osborne Is Coming With His New LP "Music Is Life" JEFFREY OSBORNE IS TOP 20 AT URBAN RADIO: New album, Music Is Life, is out now.
Jeffrey Osborne (Jun. 12, 2003) NEW YORK -- Jeffrey Osborne, whose brand new album, Music Is Life, has quite a bit to celebrate. Not only does the release of this album mark Jeffrey's 30th year in the business, but this is the debut release on his very own label Jay Oz Records, through a unique agreement with Number One independent record company in America, KOCH Entertainment. In addition, the first single from the offering, "For The Rest of Our Lives," is quickly becoming a hit at radio, breaking into the Top Twenty (at 17 Bullet) on the Urban AC Airplay Monitor just this week. One of Osborne's classic tracks "On The Wings Of Love," has seen a huge boost in airplay as well, due in no small part to American Idol's Clay Aiken who sung the song in the shows season finale a couple of weeks back, and features the track as a b-side on his current single. Vibe Magazine described the new album in a recent album review by saying that " ... on the Neptunes-esque "Her Kisses," [Osborne] serves up wide-throated vocals with energy befitting a singer half his years ... this is music for the club and the after-party -- from a middle-aged singer who shows no signs of wear." Please believe it! source: KOCH Entertainment / Jay Oz Records

I heard him on the radio yesterday (think it was 98.7 Kiss FM, in NYC). When he was introduced they played a mix of his jams. It was like, WHOA! He had cuts! His LTD songs ("Love to the World" is the JOINT!) were hot, as well as his solo stuff!
Somebody needs to put out an LTD/J. Osbourne comp. (I remember wishing that someone would put out a Steve Arrington/Slave comp and it did happen! ) I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Personally, I think Togetherness is a KILLER album. Concentrate On You... We Both Deserve Eachother's Love... Back in the day, I couldn't live without that album or Atlantic Starr's Brilliance.
