WOMEN are shaking up June 24th New Release day...What are you gonna buy??? Like yesterday's 'Super'Tuesday...June 24th looks to be another Major label 'pile-up' with mostly female artists taking the reins...and most of them ending a 5 year gap between records!
BEYONCE-solo album MICHELLE BRANCH-2nd album...havent heard anything yet... LIZ PHAIR-first album in 5 years, very polished sound MONICA-fist album in 5 years..produced by MISSY! DA BRAT-Is she still scheduled for 6/24??? It was last I heard MYA-Supposed to be out but moved to 7/22 also out GANG STARR-fist all new album in 5 years Any feedback on what you've heard about any of these would be helpful... I already heard Liz's record. It's not bad...and I'm a longtime fan...most who though Liz as the 'indie goddess' will be dissapointed...Like Jewel..Liz wants a 'radio' hit and most of these tracks are ready for radio. She worked with The Matrix (Avril L) on some tracks...the best tracks are towards the end of the album...where the 'old' Liz sings about raunchy things like "Hot White Cum"...It's nothing like "Exile In Guyville" but for a polished album...it's a good substitute for most of the crap thats out right now! MYA has been moved to 7/22, but it is The one everyone needs to have. Also dont forget BLU cantrell onthe 24th, and there is also a MARIAH CAREY remixes CD out on SONY that day too. Ahhh Yess! BLU is out that day...forgot about that one... Mariah remixes from Sony??? WTF??!!! Sony must be in trouble!!! Why now??? Even so...those 90's remixes were mostly by David Morales and they all sound the same! ISLAND is re-issuing the CHARMBRACLET record (which I think is stupid...) with the Busta/Mariah duet and other tracks...I think that's gonna come out it July... Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |

There is a new new double Mariah remix
one disk will have Dance/house mix and the other r&b and hip hop mixes inc hard to find Thank god I found you/ Make it last and there is going to be a tour edition of CHARMBRACELET with four new song feat Elephant man, Da Brat Bone Crusher and possibly her new duet with THICKE HOT OH by the way the Beyonce album is going to wipe the floor although I'm wishing MYA makes it through | |

Interested in the Liz Phair album but considering I only own "Whip Smart" I think I'll wait. I think I might go for Beyonce. I love the "Crazy In Love" and the title track sounds awesome. I think I would have went for the Mya album instead, however, if they both came out the same day and I could only get one! | |
