There's a big billboard on I-75 here in Detroit announcing a show by EWF up in Mt. Pleasant at the Soaring Eagle Casino. And lo, and behold there was Maurice White in the picture!!! I can't believe he's back!! I'm definitely going to check this show out. Although I don't know why they didn't do a show at somewhere like the Fox Theatre here in the city. . .

I've been hearing a new song by them mainly played on WGPR. It's sweet--and wonderful to hear Maurice singing up front again (albeit his voice sounds a little weaker) and playing the kalimba!

If Maurice is back inthe band, excellent. Tell us if you find out. If he is not, then I will confirm if he is after me and applekisses witness Earth Wind & Fire Friday, June 13, at Ford's 100 Centennial Celebration here in Dearborn.

Actually, my husband and I have decided to go to the performance in Dearborn, too. . .so I guess we'll all find out!!

There had been alot of rumors that Maurice would be joining the band this summer on tour,but at a recent show in Atlanta,Maurice was nowhere to be found.I think he will participate at just a few select shows and not the entire tour.Be sure to come chat with us at this cool EW&F forum...
