boy george-dont take my mind on a trip

how many of ya'll peeps remember boy george's 1st song sans culture club, don't take my mind on a trip? i remember this was a great dance song, and i remember hearin it on the old club mtv a couple times (wubba wubba wubba... lol gotta love downtown julie brown)... and did i mention that it had super producers gene griffin's and teddy riley's finger prints all over it? guess that's why it was so funky...

HAHAHH! I taped it off the radio many years ago, and play it once in a blue moon. Definitely had that New Jack Swing touch and sound.
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

I bought this album back in the day! The album was actually called High Hat, and had some other Teddy Riley productions on it as well. A decent project...

BTW, if you are ever in London, go see the show he wrote and scored, "Taboo." It was phenomenal!!!

I already had At Worst.. The Best of Culture Club, but I had to buy Classic Masters:Boy George for this song. It's still fun to dance to.

I still play "dont take my mind on a trip" now and then. It's part of one of my old mix tapes. What's really the beat though is "Miss Me Blind (Misty Blue Remix)" That shit is hot!

WAIT WAIT!!

Wasn't "Sold" with "Everything I Own," BG's first time-out? No pun intended.

I did like the Don't Take My Mind album though. And ironically, I liked the Bobby Z produced tracks the best.

Specially - "Combination Skin."
