I am not a huge Patrice Rushen fan, but three of her cuts stay in rotation:

Settle For My Love
Heartache Heartbreak
Remind Me

"High In Me" (1984)---lovely underrated ballad
"Feels So Real (Won't Let Go)" (1984)
"Forget Me Nots" (1982)
"Remind Me" (1982)---I always get lost in this song!
"Haven't You Heard" (1979)
"Look Up"(1980)---takes me right back to the year 1980!
"Hang It Up" (1978)
"Get Off (You Fascinate Me)" (1984)---remember the cool video for this song? This was a summer '84 jam.
"Watch Out" (1987)
"Breakin All The Rules" (1987)

If you guys have never heard the first song on my list ("High In Me"),download it or buy it asap!! It is beautiful.

I absloutly L-O-V-E me some Miss Rushen. That woman is one baaad keyboardist and she's the most sampled artist in the 90's nod

My FAVE Lp from her is the amazing jazzy mellow record "B4 The Dawn" which contains mainly of instrumentals and Piano solos. Very Herbie Hencock influenced record.

My fave songs from here:

1.Remind Me-This song is the sexiest, mellow, dreamiest song eva done by her. I love it I love it I SOOO love it. The rhodes piano solo does 4 me everytime I listen 2 it.

2.Haven't You Heard-Syreeta(Stevie's ex-wife) sings back-up in most of P's songs and her vox are obevious in this song. Funky # nod

3.Feels So Good

4.Settle 4 My Love-Musiq and his group did the song justice too!

5.Hang It Up

I like your list david. I would add "Perfect Love" from that same album in 84. Think it was called "Now" That whole album was underrated.

I have been a huge fan of Patrice since the early eighties when "Forget Me Nots" and "Remind Me" were blowing up all over urban radio. I was particularly happy to see her leading the house band for the Stevie Wonder tribute that aired on BET.

Putting together a comprehensive list of my favorites will be tricky (I have all of her releases on the Elektra label).

"Wishful Thinking" (1978) -- Patrice actually handles acoustic guitar rather than keyboard duties on this track
"Settle For My Love" (1979)
"Haven't You Heard" (1979)
"Let The Music Take Me" (1979)
"Don't Blame Me" (1980) -- smooth track with a GREAT rhodes solo from Patrice
"Time Will Tell" (1980)
"Remind Me" (1982) -- another great rhodes solo from Patrice
"Where There Is Love" (1982)
"Number One" (1982) -- actually performed this one at a show with a band in college
"High In Me" (1984)
"Gotta Find It" (1984)
"Heartache Heartbreak" (1984)
