There's a POISON Goin On.. During the weekend i picked up Public Enemy's 'There's a POISON Goin On..' for 3pounds in my local store.
'It Takes A Nation..' blew me away, but i couldn't get into their other stuff. Well.. lets just say that's the best 3pounds i've ever spent! Tunes like 'Do You Wanna Go Our Way?', 'Swindler's Lust', and 'Round&Round' are brilliant. If you get this lp, and i strongly recommend that you do, put on 'I' - breathtaking!! - god, i feel guilty for picking this up for only a few quid.. "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

I really dug this album too. "Last Mass Of The Caballeros" was my joint and classic PE. Album has 5-6 really nice cuts. Too many people slept on this. It's what real hip hop should sound like. Bringing Together Five Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance

I was glad that you mentioned "I"
What a great song. I liked alot of Poison. Also if you pick out the new songs on "Revolverlution" there is some very cool material to check out. I saw them live last Summer in NY and P E still kicks ass! "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"

I didn't bother to go out seeing them live last tuesday, even though I am an old fan. Only listened to "Poison" a couple of times. Oh yeah, the notorious "milleNium" album...
Chuck's a cool guy still, though. Not that sure about Flav's current mental state... | |
