TTD in Philly... let me start by saying the performance was great! i was not dissapointed with the band, ttd or the sound from the venue. what i was dissapointed with was TTD/Sandanda's awful, awful attitude. I will not be purchasing any more CDs of his nor will i be attending any more of his shows. here's why:
at 5:00 on the evening of the show, my friend from the venue calls me to tell me how difficult ttd is being and that he is making "demands fit for a king". this friend also told me that ttd was late for soundcheck and wanted to cancel the opening acts so hecould get his soundcheck done. fast forward to 8pm when i arrive at the venue. doors were to have opened at 7pm and two opening acts were to have performed by 9pm. i found out that no bands had performed yet because ttd/sananda did have them canceled, meanwhile, he didn't even start his own soundcheck until 9pm. he told the people who worked at the venue that he would be ready when he's ready. So, shortly after his soundcheck, a man working ttd promotions (i guess) came upstairs (the venue has a balcony) and offered stickers for anyone willing to go on the floor. Apparently not many tickets had sold and he said "sananda wants more people on the floor. he wants to see you all having a good time". well, shortly thereafter an employee of the venue came up and plainly said "the performer has informed us that he will not go on stage until all of you are downstairs." i have to tell you, though, there were only about 30 people upstairs and already about 100-200 downstairs. it was ridiculous. after the crowd yeeled something out for a bit, ttd finally cme out and performed...for 1 and 15 minutes. then he left and did not return. no encore. no anything. i think his prima donna attitude sucks. i think he is a jerk. i am so very dissapointed with his antics. and to think i searched and went out of my way to find Wildcard...

Excuse my ignorance, but I have pretty much played in every venue in Philly. Who is TTD? And was this show at the "Trocadero"? The "Troc" is a large venue where signed acts can perform. It has a balcony for those of drinking age. There is also another small club in the same building on the second floor call "The Balcony". Where was this show at?

OH! The Terrance Trent Darby show! I couldn't go. Had to work. I'm interested to hear from more people who have seen his shows recently.

The Sananda show in Philly was great and when I went there at about 6pm the soundcheck of Sananda's band had already started, so no way it started at 9pm! And the reason that Sananda didn't play an encore was that it was not allowewd to play any longer than 11pm, otherwise that wouldn't have been the case. With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

That's not true it was 11pm this could go on and on...i lived in the city for years, i've been to the troc 5,263 times and they have a license to stay open past the city's main curfew. several venues do, especially the ones that are not located in residential areas (like the troc and electric factory). regardless, this would still not explain his pissy behavior towards the staff and people waiting to see him perform...not to mention the opening acts that were cancelled.
