i just re-purchased lou reed's transformer on cd. as mentioned on one of these threads a while back, i used to have a ton of vinyl, and i'm re-purchasing the collection slowly on cd.

definitely a brilliant album, lou at the height of his powers. vicious and walk on the wild side are all time greats. the remake of satellite of love really works well. it is one of those albums that has no weak tracks.

i remember a thread a while back involving music downloading in which some people were saying that record companies were ripping them off because the records they bought only had 1 or 2 good tracks, and they couldn't justify paying $16 for one hit. i had wanted to post something along the lines that it wasn't the record companies fault, it was the artists that they were listening to. albums like transformer are well worth $16.

i've seen lou reed live in nyc, and hope to catch him on tour this year. he's playing portland in either june or july, and by that time i will be living there. schedule permitting, i will be there.

Very kewl period of music came out of alot of people that time, Reed being one of them.
I was just a little kiddie then, but my brother and sister dragged me along.

I love Satelite of love.
I´ve always wanted 2 hear David Bowie singing this 1.
I think he would do that justice.
