That article is from the New York Times. I remember reading it awhile ago. You can listen to Caushun at his site, www.thegayrapper.com

Hey everybody take a look at me,
I've got street credibility,
I may not have a job,
But I have a good time,
With the boys that I meet "down on the line"

I said, I - DON'T - NEED - YOU
So you don't approve,
Well who asked you to?
HEY - JERK - YOU - WORK
This boy's got better things to do
Hell,
I ain't never gonna work, get down in the dirt,
I choose, to cruise.
Gonna live my life, sharp as a knife,
I've found my groove and I just can't lose.
A.1. style from head to toe,
Cool cat flash gonna let you know,
I'm a soul boy - I'm a dole boy,
Take pleasure in leisure, I believe in joy!

you sing it pandurito!!

THAT was the first song by a gay rapper right there. take pleasure in leisure, i believe in joy!!
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Sex is not love. Love is not sex. Putting words in other people's mouths will only get you elected.

Need more sleep than coke or methamphetamine.

He sucks (no pun intended). People aren't going to respect him because he's gay, they're not going to respect him because he can't flow! Simple as that.

On NYC radio a few years back, there was this big thing over some "gay rapper" mystery. (I think it was on Hot 97). I kept thinking that it was going to be some well known rapper coming out, but I think it turned out to be Caushun. (And I always thought it was spelled c-a-u-t-i-o-n.)

Personally, I think Caushun is weak lyrically. The kid is just playing the gay card to gain fame. There are hundreds of other gay emcees that are 100x better than Caushun and that actually have real things to say other than living up to stereotypes.

I recommend you check these gay hip hop artists out..

-Tori Fixx http://www.cdbaby.com/ToriFixx or http://artists3.iuma.com/...Tori_Fixx/
This gay rapper is tighter than Caushun and is a mixture between Prince & Q-Tip. He's my favorite artist right now. Check him out and please buy his record "The Mochasutra" or "REfixx" they are both hot. "The Mochasutra" is considered by many to be the best gay hip hop album of all-time.

-Protegee http://www.mp3.com/Protegee
Hot female MC, reminscient of Da Brat -- representing the Minneapolis hip hop scene and a member of Tori Fixx's "Adyssi" clique. My favorites from her are "Feel This Heat" and "Ya Mama 'Nem."

-Mz. Platinum http://www.mp3.com/MZ_PLATINUM
She looks a little like Meshell Ndegeocello, but this lesbian MC is clearly in a class of her own...serving up delectable Atlanta-fried hip hop.

-Gary Hodges http://www.mp3.com/Gary_E_Hodges
R&B artist with an old-school-meets-new-school style. Check out the track "Fallin' 4 U" it has that bounce!

-Backroom Matches http://www.fagrap.com
Swedish gay hip hop.

Phat Family Records Vol. 2: Down 4 The Swerve - (has a lot of hot music):http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/142/phat_family_records.html

Isn't the biggest star in hip hop gay? Eminmem! I realize that is uncalled for. Eminmem is the biggest star in rap, not hop hop!

I read this article on www.gayhiphop.com and thought it was interesting:

Gay Rappers: Too Real for Hip-Hop
By TOURÉ

Miss Money, a rapper, singer and producer from Houston, has been called the gay Missy Elliot.

That's funny, I thought Missy Elliot was the "gay Missy Elliot"
